Crime Alert - Armed Robbery
The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is investigating an armed robbery reported at approximately 2:50 a.m. near the intersection of 6th and W Streets, NW.
Two complainants, including one affiliated with Howard University, reported that two suspects approached them and took a cell phone and a wallet at gunpoint. The suspects are described as tall Black males, one with a heavy build and the other with a thin build.
The complainants say the two suspects fled with two other Black males in a white sedan last seen traveling eastbound on W Street NW.
